What Is a 450 High-Efficiency Vibrating Screen?

The 450 High-Efficiency Vibrating Screen is a key piece of equipment used in industrial screening and filtration. The model number “450” typically refers to a compact design with a screen body diameter of approximately 450 millimeters. The core function of this equipment is to rapidly separate solid particles of different sizes or achieve liquid-solid separation through multidimensional vibrations generated by a high-efficiency vibration motor. With its high efficiency, low noise, compact size, and portability, it has become the ideal choice for powder sieving, slurry filtering, and impurity removal in industries such as fine chemicals, food processing, pharmaceuticals, ceramic glazes, and coatings. With a wide range of sieving precision—extending from coarse screening (e.g., 30 mesh) to ultra-fine filtration (e.g., 400 mesh and above)—it meets a variety of demanding process requirements, from flour sieving to the filtration of high-viscosity paints.

450 High Efficiency Vibrating Screen

Jiarui Machinery’s JR-450 series ultra-quiet screening and filtering machine is specifically designed for users seeking superior performance and operational convenience. Its core advantage lies in the adoption of a new universal special power generator, ensuring ultra-silent operation and excellent energy efficiency. Specifically, the JR-450 delivers impressive processing capacity. For example, when filtering paint with a specific gravity of 1.1 using a 325-mesh screen, it can process up to 1,200 liters per hour; when processing flour with a 30-mesh screen, it can handle 700 kilograms per hour. The parts of the equipment that come into contact with materials are constructed of stainless steel, ensuring hygiene and durability, and the design includes features for quick screen changes and easy cleaning. For applications requiring greater mobility, the JR-450S model (with a mobile cart) is also available. The entire unit is constructed of 304 stainless steel, further enhancing the equipment’s versatility and service life. Whether for powder sieving in the food industry or liquid filtration in the chemical sector, Jiarui Machinery’s JR-450 provides a reliable, efficient, and quiet sieving and filtering solution.

How Does the JR-450 High-Efficiency Vibrating Screen Work?

The JR-450 High Efficiency Vibrating Screen operates through a specially designed vibration system that efficiently separates powders, granules, and liquids. By generating a three-dimensional vibratory motion, the machine achieves high screening accuracy, continuous throughput, and clog-free performance across a wide range of industrial applications.

Step 1: The JR-450 High Efficiency Vibrating Screen is driven by a specially designed vibration motor. When the motor starts running, the eccentric weights mounted on both ends of the motor shaft rotate at high speed, generating adjustable centrifugal force.

Step 2: Under the action of the excitation force, the screen frame and mesh perform a complex three-dimensional motion. Instead of moving only vertically or horizontally, the screen combines vertical vibration, horizontal movement, and inclined throwing action simultaneously.

Step 3: After entering through the feed inlet, materials are quickly dispersed across the entire screen surface. Continuous vibration causes particles of different sizes to separate naturally. Fine particles gradually move downward toward the mesh openings, while larger particles remain on the upper layer.

Step 4: As the material continues moving across the screen, particles smaller than the mesh opening pass through the screen and are discharged from the fine-material outlet. Oversized particles, impurities, or agglomerates remain on the screen surface and travel along a spiral path toward the oversize discharge outlet.

For liquid filtration applications such as paints, coatings, inks, or ceramic slurries, the liquid phase passes through the filter mesh while unwanted solids are retained and discharged separately, achieving efficient solid-liquid separation.

Step 5: During operation, the continuous vibration keeps the screen mesh in constant motion. This prevents powder accumulation and reduces the risk of mesh blockage, even when processing ultrafine powders or sticky materials.

Step 6: Once separation is completed, qualified materials and oversized materials are discharged continuously through their respective outlets.

Working Principle Summary

In simple terms, the JR-450 High Efficiency Vibrating Screen works through a straightforward process: the vibration motor generates excitation force, the screen body produces three-dimensional vibration, materials are stratified and screened, and qualified products are separated and discharged continuously. This efficient screening mechanism enables the machine to deliver accurate particle separation, stable filtration performance, and reliable operation across food, chemical, coating, ceramic, pharmaceutical, and other industrial applications.

FAQs

The JR-450 High Efficiency Vibrating Screen is suitable for a wide range of materials, including dry powders, granules, and liquid slurries. It is commonly used for flour, milk powder, starch, coatings, ceramic glaze, pigments, pharmaceutical powders, and beverage liquids. It can also handle low-viscosity and medium-viscosity slurries for solid-liquid separation applications.

Mesh selection depends on material type and required filtration precision.
For coarse materials like flour or feed, 30–80 mesh is typically used.
For fine powders such as pigments or pharmaceutical materials, 100–325 mesh is recommended.
For ultra-fine filtration like coatings or chemical slurries, 325–400 mesh or higher can be applied. Custom mesh sizes are available based on process requirements.

The JR-450 uses three-dimensional vibration for screening and is ideal for both dry and wet materials, while a centrifugal sifter relies on rotor force and is mainly used for dry powder classification. The JR-450 offers better versatility, lower noise, and easier cleaning, making it more suitable for food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries requiring frequent material changeovers.

Screen clogging usually occurs due to high moisture content, fine particles, or sticky materials. The JR-450 prevents clogging through high-frequency three-dimensional vibration, which keeps particles in constant motion and prevents mesh blockage. In addition, optional ultrasonic systems can be added for ultra-fine or adhesive powders.

Yes, the JR-450 is widely used for liquid-solid separation applications such as paints, coatings, inks, ceramic slurry, and juice filtration. The liquid passes through the mesh while solids and impurities are retained and discharged continuously, ensuring stable filtration efficiency and product consistency.

The processing capacity depends on material type and mesh size. For example, it can handle up to 700 kg/h for flour screening (30 mesh) and up to approximately 1,200 liters per hour for paint filtration at 325 mesh. Actual capacity may vary based on material viscosity and particle distribution.
